My new avatar (anyone? What's the difference between deviantID and an avatar?) - which I quite like, although I'm not really sure.

Have really, really, *really* been struggling to take any decent photos lately. Blah.

Nice avatar. Not the best focus (well, with an avatar it doesn't matter, but with a larger picture yes), but the black & white plus the framing work well with it. The fact that only part of your face is seen, plus the expression, does seem to lend it some extra depth, in a way.

The avatar is of course the avatar (or icon, if you prefer that). The deviantID is a picture that displays only on your userpage, in between your journals and "devious information". If you want this to show up, go to edit profile on your userpage, click the user page display tab, then in the user page elements section, there's a "deviantID" spot with a drop-down menu, and the ones you submitted as a ID show up there. Selecting one displays it on your userpage.

I like the composition. Nice angle too.

On another note...someimes the problem can be trying to take a good photos. I find the best images are taken when they come to you, as such...
